Q: What is the Get i Sight tracking system?

A. The Get i Sight tracking system is a complete hardware and software solution for tracking the location, direction, and speed of your family or teenager’s vehicle. It is comprised of an easily installed, five-ounce tracking device and an easy-to-use website, which uses clear and simple mapping technology.

Q: How does the Get i Sight tracking system work?

A. Using the Global Positioning System (GPS) to pinpoint and update a vehicle’s location, speed, and direction as it moves. Data is sent to the user via a secure, password-protected Web-portal. On the website, you can track your vehicle, monitor the status of your Get i Sight device, and create your own personal E-mail and cellular phone text message alerts if the vehicle leaves a user defined area and/or travels above a user defined speed.

Q: What is the cost?

A. The Get i Sight tracker costs only $189.95 plus S&H, with a $16.95 monthly service fee for unlimited use of the Get i Sight monitoring website. There are no contracts or complicated plans.

A. No. The Get i Sight tracking device’s monitoring data is password protected on the Get i Sight Web-portal.

Q: How is the Get i Sight tracker installed?

A. It is best to take your Get i Sight tracker to a professional installer. If you have a good working knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and are comfortable in gaining access under your dash board, you may install the Get i Sight tracker yourself. Your new tracker comes with everything you need for normal installations. The installation instructions are included with your unit or can be found at Get i Sight.

Q: What is the range of coverage?

A. Get i Sight is able to track in any area where there is cellular coverage. if coverage is lost the unit stores the GPS data until the coverage is restored and then transmits it.

Q: What is GPS?

A. GPS stands for Global Positioning System. Created by the US military and subsequently made available for commercial use, it employs a series of satellites that enable a receiver on the earth to calculate its position very accurately.

A typical GPS receiver calculates its position using the signals from four or more GPS satellites. These values are then turned into more user-friendly forms, such as latitude/longitude or location on a map, then displayed to the user.
